“Dear Heritage, we wanted to say “Thank You” one more time for being part of the Dogwood 20th Anniversary celebration. Not only was the music great, but the interaction among the band members and the audience was fun too. Your entertaining ways got the group involved with toe tapping and dancing to the music, along with lots of “belly laughs”. Thank you for a very entertaining show!” Susan Sohles, Dogwood 20th Anniversary Rally Host
“The first time I recall hearing this group on stage, they reminded me so much of the original Country Gentlemen that I just had to go to the stage and listen. I was not disappointed. Their tight vocal harmony and excellent picking was worth taking note of. Their ability to not only deliver the old standards, but the new songs as well, demonstrates a versatility that makes you want to listen to every word and every note. Heritage has a very original sound and offers the listener a refreshing easy-to-listen-to style of Bluegrass.” Charlie Waller, Country Gentlemen.
“In this day and time when it seems so many are searching for an explicit answer to “What is Bluegrass Music?”, you only have listen to Heritage to know you’ve found it. Heritage’s superb treatment of old songs as well as the new, showcases their proficiency to let the song play itself. Their vocal harmonies carry the freshness of today while maintaining their ties to the past. It’s been said that to make it today as a Bluegrass band you have to be different. Heritage is different – it’s all Bluegrass. So sit back, relax, enjoy and listen to real Bluegrass Music.” Milton R. Harkey, past Chairman of the Board, International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA).
